After a whirlwind visit with family in California, I arrived home today ready for some ZUMBA® fun! Who’s in?

I went to support my Mother through a family bereavement and although we had some tender sad moments, my Mother had already promised the good folk of Carmel Valley some ZUMBA® lead by me to cheer everyone up – and it really did.

The class was mostly made up of my Mum’s generation and so, in the gentle breeze & the warm sunshine of the California fall I gave them some soothing ZUMBA® dances to ease & rejuvenate the heart & soul.

They felt it would be easier for them to follow the steps if I had my back to them, but each time I turned to check 1. if they were ok & 2. if they were still there (!) I was greeted with the biggest smiles and giggles. Fantastic!

I left them with a breakdown of some of the basic moves, such as the ‘Beto Shuffle’ and left them with the promise that my Mother will continue leading her own classes once I was gone back to the UK. They LOVE it!

So, I’m back, classes resume with me on Wednesday at 9am and then again at 1pm, followed by Thursday at 9:45 and for those evening birds, 8pm – I truly can’t WAIT to see you all there!

OH! And don’t forget – there’s still time to BRING YOUR FRIEND FOR FREE (as long as they haven’t been before) – let’s spread the ZUMBA® groove thang!

I’ve been getting calls and messages from people today asking about ZUMBA® – a common question is whether they’ll be able to do it if they’re not coordinated…or can’t dance…I tell them, with complete heartfelt conviction, that of course they can, and I’d love to show them how. As long as they enjoy moving and listening to the music, the rest WILL come! 

Tomorrow (Wednesday), I have a class at 9 in the morning and then at 1 in the afternoon and I would just love to see you there – take the plunge, bring a friend – oh, and you’ll be happy to hear that your friend gets in for free*!

* – friend gets in for free until the end of October & only for the first visit. Classes are £7, walk-ins heartily encouraged!

Good morning fellow Zumba® lovers, oh boy, am I a happy girl! Maloca Putney have offered me another new class – 8pm on Thursdays as of this week (starting 6th October).

As always, classes at Maloca are upbeat and infectious – no matter what your ability (…or coordination level..) we provide a class that really does tick all the boxes:

1. a great workout

2. easy to follow

3. fun fun fun!
